Tyler Wilson enters his sixth season on the Quincy University football staff in 2026 and his second season as the Hawks’ linebackers coach.
Wilson has played a key role in the development of Quincy’s defense across multiple position groups, contributing to the growth of several All-GLVC performers. Over his tenure, he has coached both defensive backs and linebackers, helping elevate the Hawks’ defensive production and consistency.
Wilson began his time at Quincy in 2021 as a defensive graduate assistant and cornerbacks coach, where he helped mentor a GLVC Second Team All-Conference selection. He transitioned to working with the linebackers in 2022, guiding three players to All-GLVC honors.
Elevated to defensive backs coach in 2023, Wilson continued to produce at a high level, coaching two All-GLVC defensive backs while leading a unit that topped the conference with 18 interceptions and ranked eighth nationally at the NCAA Division II level. He followed that performance in 2024 with two additional All-GLVC honorees in the secondary.
In 2025, Wilson returned to working with the linebackers, where he coached two All-GLVC selections. Under his guidance, Brock Wiley ranked second in the GLVC in tackles and among the top 20 nationally, while Brock Inman finished fourth in the conference in tackles.
In between his stints in Quincy, Wilson served as a defensive backs coach at Allegheny College in Pennsylvania, where he contributed to improvements in both rushing and passing defensive metrics for the Gators.
