Melvin Brock will be entering his second season with the Hawks as the Assistant Defensive Backs Coach after joining the staff in January 2023.
Brock played wide receiver and defensive back at Quincy University for four and a half years, from 2018-2022. While at Quincy, Brock was a two-year starter and five-year contributor. He finished his career with the Hawks on offense with 23 receptions, 216 yards, and a touchdown, along with 109 tackles and 12 pass breakups on defense.
Brock is originally from Belleville, Illinois where he attended Althoff Catholic High School. While at Althoff, Brock was a three-sport athlete, contributing to the basketball, football and track teams. In basketball, Brock is a 2016 4A state champion, as well as a 4A state runner up in football.
Brock graduated from Quincy University in the fall of 2022 where he received a B.S. in Political Science,with a concentration in Pre-Law.
Brock is currently pursuing his Masters of Business Administration while assisting the defensive backs.
