Kaleb Borghardt

Kaleb Borghardt is entering his fourth season as an assistant coach for the Quincy Football program. He is the Offensive Coordinator and coaches the Quarterbacks for the Hawks.

Over the past two seasons, Borghardt has guided an offense that holds the program scoring record (35.0 pts/gm) and that averaged over 30 points per game in each season. The Hawk’s offense has finished near the top of the NCAA Total Offense in Division II the past couple years with a #22 ranking in 2022 and #32 ranking in 2021 among 163 teams.

Throughout those seasons, he mentored Tionne Harris who finished the 2022 season as an All-GLVC selection and the #7 ranked passer in Division II. Over that short amount of time, Harris also cemented his name all over the program record book.

Over the past two seasons, the Hawk offense have seen 15 All-GLVC selections.
 
Prior to Quincy University, Borghardt spent the 2019 season at Southwest Baptist University coaching Cornerbacks. While at SBU, Borghardt coached senior Cory Hanger who was a 2nd Team All-Conference performer. Hanger led the conference and nation in Division II in pass-breakups. He was also named the GLVC Defensive Player of the Week and led the team in tackles.
 
Before Southwest Baptist University, Borghardt was a Special Teams Intern at Ohio State University for the summer of 2018. While at Ohio State, he assisted with organizing scout teams, breaking down opponents, and constructing teach tapes and scouting reports.
 
Borghardt also spent the 2017 season at Missouri State University under former head coach Dave Steckel as a Special Teams Quality Control. While at Missouri State, the Bears were highly efficient on
special teams, ranking in the top three in the Missouri Valley Conference in kickoff return average (22.2), punt return average (13.0), and punt average (41.0). In addition, Borghardt assisted in game planning for opponents, coaching the specialists, and performed self-scouts and off-season studies.
 
Prior to Missouri State, Borghardt began his coaching career at Central Methodist University as the Quarterbacks Coach and Pass Game Coordinator. While at CMU, he coached Caleb Bedford who was a two-time All-Conference performer who accounted for over 3,000 total yards and 30 touchdowns during the 2016 season. Bedford was also the Heart Offensive Player of the Week after leading a comeback against Avila University to conclude the 2016 season.
 
Borghardt played Quarterback for 4 years at Central Methodist University. As a student athlete, he was a BSN National Player of the Week, an All-State Good Works Team finalist, two-time winner of the Strength and Conditioning Male Athlete award, and voted as a team captain. He is originally from California, Missouri, where he attended California High School. While in high school, Borghardt was a two-time All-Conference quarterback.
 
Borghardt graduated from Central Methodist University in the spring of 2015 with a B.S. in Education. In addition, he completed his Master’s degree in Education in the summer of 2017 from CMU.
 
Borghardt and his wife, Shelby, live in Quincy.
