Josh McCaskey is in his second year at Quincy University, joining the staff in January 2015. He serves as the coordinator of athletics recruiting and marketing and promotions within the athletic department.

In the recruiting role, McCaskey serves as the deparment's liaison with the University's admissions office and manages the master recruiting list containing all prospective student-athletes. He also organizes recruiting visits and is a full-time recruiting coach for the North Chicago area for the football program.

On the marketing and promotions side, McCaskey is charged with the gameday operations for men's and women's soccer and baseball and assists in other gameday duties.

McCaskey, a Columbus, Ohio native, joined the staff after 2.5 years on the football staff at the University of Missouri. He served as a recruiting graduate assistant for one year (July 2012 - May 2013) and was a defensive graduate assistant for 1.5 years (May 2013 - January 2015). He assisted in all areas of recruiting for defensive line and tight ends, compiling target lists for various cities and regions. He also worked on opponent scouting reports and worked with the scout team to implement game plans. At Mizzou, McCaskey coached unanimous All-American and 2013 SEC Defensive Player of the Year Michael Sam and consensus All-American and 2014 SEC Defensive Player of the Year Shane Ray. 

McCaskey is a 2012 graduate of Otterbein (Ohio) University with a bachelor's degree in health promotion and fitness. He was a three-year letterwinner as a defensive tackle on the football team. McCaskey earned his master's degree in school counseling and psychology from Missouri in May 2014.
