Coach Wilson enters his first season as an assistant coach on the Quincy University football staff. He will work primarily with the defensive line.
He comes to Quincy University most recently after spending time as a graduate assistant at Middle Tennessee State University working with the defensive line.  Their defense led the country in turnovers with 32 total turnovers. Coach Wilson worked with Second Team all C-USA Defensive End Jordan Ferguson, whom had 16.5 TFL’s and 9 sacks on the year.
Before coaching at Middle Tennessee, Coach Wilson spent a year from the fall of 2020 to the end of spring in 2021 at Shorter University as the Defensive Line Coach and Equipment Coordinator. Shorter would go on to play 4 games in that spring of 2021 due to their fall season being canceled because of the COVID pandemic.
Prior to Shorter, Coach Wilson spent the year of 2019 at North Carolina A&T where he doubled as an Assistant Defensive Line Coach and Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach. He helped the Aggies win the MEAC championship and win the Celebration Bowl.
Coach Wilson began his coaching career in 2018 as a Strength and Conditioning intern at the University of Alabama, where he helped implement all aspects of the Crimson Tide’s 4th Quarter Program. Alabama would go on to win the SEC Championship that year and also achieve an Orange Bowl victory.
Before coaching, Coach Wilson played college football as a Defensive Lineman at Middle Tennessee State University, where he also graduated with a degree in Exercise Science in 2017. While there he helped the Blue Raiders get to two bowl games (The Bahamas Bowl & The Hawaii Bowl). Coach Wilson is a Georgia native of Powder Springs, where he played football and graduated from McEachern High School in 2012.
