Aaron Lawrence will be entering his second season with the Hawks as the Defensive Line Coach. Lawrence comes to Quincy after having spent the last two seasons at Northwest Missouri State University where he
was the Assistant Defensive Line Coach in charge of the interior defensive line from 2021-2023.

While at NWMSU, he helped coach a front that was finished 4th in Division II in rush defense and 8th in sacks in 2022. In 2021, he helped coach the Bearcats to an MIAA Conference Championship and went
on to play in the National Quarterfinals. Additionally, he assisted in coaching two All-Americans and the program’s first ever Cliff Harris Award Winner, Sam Roberts. During his two seasons, the Bearcats compiled a record of 21-5 and had two post-season appearances.

Prior to Northwest Missouri State, Lawrence spent the 2019-2021 seasons at Ottawa University in Kansas as the Defensive Line Graduate Assistant where he served as the position coach. There, he
developed six all-conference players and worked Jacob Garcia up to First Team All-American. In 2020, they were 12th in NAIA for total sacks.

Lawrence began his coaching career as an undergraduate assistant at his alma mater, Augustana College. After suffering a career ending injury freshman year, he began working with the defensive line. While working as an undergraduate assistant, he had the opportunity to coach two all-conference defensive lineman and Michael Daniels, an Academic All-American.

Lawrence graduated from Augustana College in the spring of 2019 with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and holds an MBA from Ottawa University and a M.S. in Applied Health & Sport Science from Northwest Missouri State University.
