2023 (Sophomore): Carl appeared in four games as a sophomore and recorded two tackles in those games. His first career tackle came in an 89-0 win against Madonna (9/9/23).

2022 (Freshman): In his freshman season, Carl made his collegiate debut by seeing action against Truman State (10/19/22).

Personal: Carl Thomas Jr. is from Springfield, Missouri, where he graduated from Parkview High School. Carl is the son of Kimmaly and Carl Thomas and the brother of Morgan Thomas and Mariah Gilmore.
