Personal: Smith is from Washington, Missouri, and attended Washington High School.

He is the son of Steve and Danielle Smith and has three brothers, Chandler Reese, Nathaniel Reese, and Steven Smith. During his high school career, Smith helped his team finish as a Class 5 district runner-up, earned Second Team All-District honors at linebacker, and received Academic All-Conference recognition.

Away from the field, Smith enjoys spending time with friends and family, watching movies, and listening to music. His favorite athlete is Broden Jake Mitchem and his favorite sports team is the Denver Broncos.
