2023 (Senior): In his final season with the Hawks, Brian had his best season through 11 games. Tapé recorded 24 tackles, one tackle for loss, three interceptions, four pass breakups, and one forced fumble. He forced his first fumble against Truman State (10/7/23) and intercepted his first pass against William Jewell (10/14/23).

2022 (Junior): As a junior, Tapé appeared in eight games, where he had 18 tackles and five pass breakups. He had a season-high five tackles against Trinity International (9/8/22).

2021 (Sophomore): In his second season with the Hawks, Tapé appeared in four games, where he recorded three tackles and one pass breakup. He made his collegiate debut against McKenree (10/16/21) and recorded his first tackle against Indianapolis (10/23/21).

2020-21 (Freshman): Did not see action.

Personal: Brian Tapé hails from Romeoville, Illinois, and is a graduate of Plainfield East High School, where he proudly represented the Bengals on the football field. A standout athlete, Brian was a two-time SPC All-Conference selection and played a key role in the team’s 2020 8A conference championship. Recognized as a 2-star athlete, he was ranked 80th in the state by 247Sports. Off the field, Brian earned academic honors as a three-time Dean’s List recipient. He is the son of Marie Salahou and Georges Tapé and has a sister, Marilynn Tapé. Brian enjoys eating Chick-fil-A every chance he gets and looks up to athletes like George Pickens, Le’Veon Bell, and Jalen Ramsey. His favorite NFL team is the Pittsburgh Steelers.
