Personal: Flactiff is from Milan, Illinois, and attended Rock Island High School, where he participated in football and track & field. He is the son of Mark Flactiff and Elizabeth Watson and has three siblings: Jaidyn Rylander, Drew Williams, and Ian Rylander.

Outside of sports, Avery enjoys lifting, art, and photography. He looks up to Christian McCaffrey and supports the Carolina Panthers and New York Yankees.
