Biography

Career (2020-24): Austin put together a fantastic career on the offensive line for the Hawks. After not appearing in the two games for Missouri Western during the shortened 2020 season, Dearing transferred to Quincy and appeared in 37 games and made 36 starts. He helped the Hawks to back-to-back over .500 seasons, which has not happened since the 2007 and 2008 seasons. He was a staple on the offensive line each game, helping QU have elite offenses year in and year out, whether it was through the air or on the ground.

2024 (Senior): In his final collegiate season, Dearing started in all 10 games for the third straight season. He was part of a team that committed the fewest penalties in all of Division II football (32) and second in Division II in penalties per game with four. For the second straight season, Dearing helped the QU offense to an elite run game, averaging over 180 rush yards per game, which ranked 25th in Division II and third in the GLVC. The Hawks offensive line only allowed 0.78 sacks per game, which led the GLVC and was 10th in Division II.

2023 (Junior): For the second consecutive season, Dearing appeared and started in all 11 games on the offensive line, helping the Hawks secure their first over .500 season since 2014. Austin once again bolstered the Hawks' offense in the trenches, except through the run game in the 2023 season. Quincy had the best-rushing offense in the GLVC, averaging 201.4 yards per game, which was 23rd in Division II. The Hawks also had one of the best offensive punches in Division II, scoring 38.5 points per game, which was the best in the GLVC and 17th in the country.
-    GLVC Second Team All-Conference

2022 (Sophomore): In his sophomore season, Austin appeared and started in all 11 games for the Hawks on the offensive line. He was part of an offensive line that allowed QU to have one of the best air attacks in the country, averaging 286.8 yards per game, which was second in the GLVC and 12th in Division II. Dearing's impact on the offensive line helped the Hawks to be the third-best scoring team in the GLVC, averaging 31.3 points per game.
-    GLVC All-Conference Honorable Mention

2021 (Redshirt Freshman): In his first season with the Hawks, Dearing appeared in five games, which included four starts, on the offensive line for the Hawks.
