Biography
Career (2020-23): Across four years of being a part of the QU football team, Tate saw action in nine games for the Hawks on the defensive end, where he recorded 12 tackles (six solo and six assisted) to go along with one pass breakup.

2023 (Senior): In his senior season, Tate played in two games for QU and recorded one tackle against Chadron State (9/1/23).

2022 (Junior): In his third season with the Hawks, Arthur appeared in one game against Trinity International (9/8/22), where he recorded one tackle.

2021 (Sophomore): Tate saw action in four games and recorded a career-high six tackles against Midwestern State (9/4/21).

2020-21 (Redshirt Freshman): Appeared in two games, making his collegiate debut against Indianapolis (4/3/21), where he recorded his first career tackle. On the season through those two games, Tate had four tackles.

Personal: Arthur Tate is from Thayer, Missouri, and attended Thayer High School, where he played football for the Bobcats. He is the son of George and Jill Tate and has three brothers—Brandon, Bryan, and Ryan. His brother Brandon also played football at Quincy University for the Quincy Hawks.
Arthur had an impressive high school football career. As a junior in 2018, he was recognized multiple times by K-Kountry 95, earning Defensive Player of the Week four times and Hitman of the Week twice. That season, he was named Second Team SCA All-Conference Linebacker, Second Team Class 1 All-District Linebacker, Second Team SWMFCA Linebacker, and Second Team Class 1 All-Region Linebacker.
His senior year in 2019 was even more decorated. He received five K-Kountry 95 Defensive Player of the Week awards, four Hitman of the Week honors, and was named Offensive Player of the Week three times. He earned First Team SCA All-Conference honors at Tight End, First Team Class 1 All-District Tight End, First Team SWMFCA Tight End, and First Team All-Region Tight End. On defense, he was also First Team SWMFCA Linebacker, First Team All-Region Linebacker, SWMFCA Defensive Player of the Year, and All-Region Defensive Player of the Year. He was named First Team MFCA All-State Tight End, Second Team Media Writers All-State Linebacker, and was voted an All-Ozark Media Sports Star. He also served as captain of the Thayer High School football team.
Team-wise, Arthur helped lead Thayer to four Class 1 District Championships, one SCA Conference runner-up finish, and three Class 1 State Quarterfinal appearances.
Off the field, Arthur enjoys playing disc golf. His sports role model is Brett Favre, and he’s a fan of the Georgia Bulldogs and the Green Bay Packers.
Why QU?
I chose QU because my older brother went to QU and he only had great things to say about the university. It was the best fit for me and I built relationships that will last a lifetime.
