Quincy University Hawks

Career (2021-24): In his four-year career, Gilpin totaled 33 games played after spending two years at San Diego Mesa Community College and two years with the Hawks. In those 33 games, Anthony totaled 92 receptions for 1165 yards (12.7 yards per catch) and 11 touchdowns. He also became a force in the punt return game once getting to Quincy, as he returned 15 punts for a total of 170 yards (11.3 yards per punt).

2024 (Senior): As a senior, Gilpin led the Hawks in receiving yards (469), receptions (41), and receiving touchdowns (4). He continued to be the primary punt returner for QU, as he returned eight punts for a total of 96 yards, which gave him an average of 12 yards per return.

2023 (Junior): In his first season with the Hawks, Gilpin played in nine games, where he had 15 receptions for 182 yards and a touchdown. He found the end zone for the first time as a receiver as a Hawk against William Jewell (10/14/23), where he had a season-high 73 yards.

Anthony made his presence felt in the punt return game, as he led the conference with an average of 16.3 yards per punt return across 11 tries. He also had a 60-yard punt return for a touchdown in his first career game with the Hawks against Madonna (9/9/23).

2022 (Sophomore at Mesa CC): In his second season, Anthony played in ten games and had 27 receptions for 387 yards, which was third on the team. He also hauled in four touchdown passes. He had his first career two-touchdown game in a 42-20 victory against West LA (9/3/22), where he also had 131 yards.

2021 (Freshman at Mesa CC): On the season, Gilpin appeared in seven games and had a total of 11 receptions for 150 yards and two touchdowns. He recorded his first career reception along with his first touchdown against Ventura (9/11/21).

Personal: Before coming to Quincy, Gilpin played two years of football at San Diego Mesa Community College. He is originally from San Diego, California, where he graduated from Olympian High School. Anthony is the son of Shauna and Anthony Gilpin Sr. and the brother of Kylea, Micah, and Dominick. In his free time, Anthony enjoys snowboarding and playing video games. His favorite athlete is Tony Romo, as he is a big fan of the Dallas Cowboys.
