Background:
Burns hails from Kansas City, MO and is the daughter of Rodney and Susan. Burns has one older brother Garrett (22). Burns graduated from Liberty North-High School and played in the Eagles program for Coach Brain Rockers. Burns graduated with a 3.5 GPA and also lettered for four seasons of soccer in addition to her time on the court. Burns was a Greater Kansas City Suburban Conference Red Division Honorable-Mention selection after her senior season as she averaged 5.4 points, 3.9 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.2 steals per game.
