High School: Chinn was a four-time letterwinner in football and earned letters in basketball and track at Monroe City R-I High School… in his senior season, Chinn was a first team all-conference and all-district defensive back and wide receiver… he was also named the conference defensive player of the year and first team All-Missouri defensive back… Chinn was a first team All-Missouri defensive back in his junior year and first team all-conference and all-district as a wide receiver and defensive back… he was a second-team all-league performer as a defensive back in his sophomore season… Chinn was also a decorated track performer, earning All-Missouri honors in the 300 hurdles in his senior season.
 
Personal: Joe was born Nov. 11, 1991… he is majoring in history education… he is the son of Sydney Chinn and the late Mike Chinn… Joe has two brothers, Josh and Jason, and two sisters, Courtney and Carrie.
