Quincy Men’s Bowling Announces 2026-27 Schedule

QUINCY, Ill. – The Quincy University men's bowling program has released its 2026-27 schedule as the Hawks prepare for their sixth season as a program and third under head coach Kyle Egan.

Quincy is coming off the most successful season in program history after a breakthrough 2025-26 campaign that featured the program's first tournament championship, first national ranking and several record-setting performances.

The Hawks captured their first tournament title at the Mid-States Championship last season and added seven other top-five finishes throughout the year. Quincy also earned a runner-up finish at the National Collegiate Team Match Games, climbed as high as No. 16 in the National Collegiate Bowling Coaches Association poll and No. 13 in the USBC points standings, and closed the year with a program-best fifth-place finish at USBC Sectionals.

The Hawks will open the season Sept. 26-27 at the Hammer Golden Eagle Invite in Rockford, Illinois. Quincy began last season at the same event and finished ninth in a strong early-season field, giving the Hawks an early measuring point to begin the new campaign

Quincy will then travel to Detroit, Michigan, for the Midwest Collegiate Classic on Oct. 3-4. Last season, the Hawks competed in one of the largest fields of the year at the event, finishing 31st out of 51 teams before using the rest of the fall to build toward one of the biggest moments in program history.

That breakthrough came at the Mid-States Championship, where Quincy will return Oct. 17-18 in Wichita, Kansas. Last season, the Hawks entered bracket play as the eighth and final seed before defeating top-seeded Wichita State, Oklahoma Christian and Newman to capture the first tournament championship in program history. The event became the defining moment of the season and one of the biggest achievements for the program to date.

The fall schedule continues Oct. 31-Nov. 1 at the Boilermaker Classic in West Lafayette, Indiana. Quincy put together one of its top weekends of last season at the event, finishing second out of 17 teams at the Boilermaker Classic before placing third out of 17 teams the following day at the Boilermaker Baker Shootout.

The Hawks will close the fall semester Nov. 21-22 at the Team Match Games in Fairview Heights, Illinois. Quincy finished second out of 31 teams at last year's event, one of the premier Tier I tournaments in the country. The runner-up finish helped continue the Hawks' rise on the national stage and stood as one of seven additional top-five finishes during the historic season.

After the winter break, Quincy returns to action Jan. 16-17 at the Kegel-ISBPA Midwest Collegiate Classic in Addison, Illinois. The Hawks finished 27th out of 68 teams at last year's event, competing in one of the largest fields on the schedule.

Quincy will then travel to Belton, Missouri, for the Eagle Invitational from Jan. 23-24 before returning to Fairview Heights for the McKendree Baker Challenge on Feb. 13-14. Those two events will serve as key late-season opportunities as the Hawks continue building toward postseason competition.

The season will conclude March 12-14 at USBC Sectionals. Quincy put together the best sectional performance in program history last season, finishing fifth out of 20 teams and narrowly missing a trip to nationals. The Hawks averaged more than 200 pins per game across 64 baker games, marking another major step forward for the program.

After setting a new standard last season, Quincy enters 2026-27 looking to continue its climb nationally. With a challenging schedule and several major tournaments ahead, the Hawks will look to build on their historic campaign and keep pushing toward the top of collegiate bowling under Egan.
