QUINCY, Ill. – The Quincy University women's golf team is set to begin the 2026-27 season with a roster featuring a strong mix of experience and developing talent. With seven golfers returning to the lineup, the Hawks will look to build on the progress made last season and continue making their mark throughout the Great Lakes Valley Conference.
The Hawks will be led by a group that has already gained valuable collegiate tournament experience. With several returners having competed in multiple events throughout their careers, Quincy enters the season with plenty of familiarity both within the team and with the challenges that come with competing at the collegiate level.
Leading the returners is senior Addi Eades, who has established herself as one of the more experienced golfers on the Quincy roster. Eades competed in nine tournaments during the 2025-26 season and finished with an 82.4 stroke average. She recorded her best finish of the season at the Dan Salisbury Memorial, tying for 11th, while also posting a season-low round of 77 at the UIndy Fall Invitational.
Eades has continued to show consistency throughout her Quincy career and will be an important piece of the Hawks' lineup this season. Her experience in tournament play will be especially valuable as Quincy works to put together strong team scores throughout the fall.
Senior Payton Miller will also return for another season with the Hawks. Miller competed in eight tournaments last season and finished with an 89.6 stroke average. She recorded multiple rounds of 84 and tied for 21st at the Upper Iowa Invitational.
Miller has steadily improved throughout her collegiate career, lowering her stroke average from 94.5 as a freshman to 89.6 last season. With another year of experience behind her, Miller will look to take another step forward and provide Quincy with a dependable option throughout the season.
Kiley Torres enters the season as another returning golfer who has shown the ability to compete in important moments. Torres competed in five tournaments last season and finished with an 85.4 stroke average. She tied for 16th at the Upper Iowa Invitational and finished the GLVC Championship with an 81 in her final round.
Torres also earned GLVC Academic All-Conference and CSC Academic All-District honors last season. With another year of collegiate competition ahead of her, Torres will have an opportunity to continue developing her game and become an even bigger contributor for the Hawks.
Ellissa Warren brings a strong level of experience to the roster. Warren competed in five tournaments last season and posted an 86.6 stroke average. Her best finish came at the Dan Salisbury Memorial, where she tied for 19th and recorded a season-low 77 during the tournament.
Warren has shown steady improvement during her Quincy career and has become a familiar name in the Hawks' tournament lineup. As she enters another season, her consistency and experience will be important for a Quincy team looking to put together competitive team scores.
Maddie O'Brien will also return to the Hawks' lineup after gaining tournament experience last season. O'Brien competed individually at the Warrior Vegas Invitational, where she finished with a three-round total of 276, and also saw action at the GLVC Championship.
With another season of collegiate competition ahead of her, O'Brien will look to use that experience to continue developing her game and compete for a larger role within the Quincy lineup.
Sophomore Madison Denker enters her second season with the Hawks and will look to build on her first year of collegiate golf. Denker was one of Quincy's golfers to earn Academic All-GLVC recognition during the 2025-26 academic year.
As she enters her next season, Denker will have the opportunity to become more comfortable with the demands of tournament golf while continuing to grow alongside a group of experienced teammates. Her development throughout the fall could provide Quincy with another option as the season progresses.
Shelby Stout will also enter her sophomore season with the Hawks. The Augusta, Illinois, native came to Quincy from Southeastern High School and will look to continue developing her game during her second year at the collegiate level.
With a full season now under her belt, Stout will have an opportunity to take what she learned during her freshman campaign and translate it into stronger performances throughout the 2026-27 season.
The Hawks will once again be guided by head coach Jon Roberson, who enters his second season leading the Quincy women's golf program. Along with assistant coach Alex McCulla.
Roberson came to Quincy with an extensive background in the sport. A former state champion at Timberland High School, Roberson played four seasons of collegiate golf at Culver-Stockton College, where he was a three-time All-Conference selection in the Heart of America Athletic Conference.
His experience has also extended into professional golf. Roberson previously worked as an assistant golf professional at Quincy Country Club and won the Gateway PGA Section Assistant Championship in 2023, earning an opportunity to compete at the National Car Rental Assistants Championship.
With Roberson entering his second season at the helm, the Hawks will look to continue building the program and developing each golfer throughout the year.
Quincy will have four tournaments on its fall schedule, giving the Hawks an early opportunity to establish themselves and gain momentum heading into the spring.
The season will open September 20-22 at the Kansas City Cup at Paradise Pointe Golf Complex in Kansas City, Missouri. The tournament will provide Quincy's roster with its first chance to compete together during the 2026-27 campaign.
The Hawks will then travel to Cog Hill Golf and Country Club in Palos Park, Illinois, for the Flyer Intercollegiate on October 4-6. The tournament will give Quincy another opportunity to test itself against a competitive field at one of the region's well-known courses.
Quincy will return home October 11-13 for the Culver-Stockton Invite at Spring Lake Country Club. Competing close to home will give the Hawks a chance to showcase their progress in front of a familiar crowd while continuing their fall schedule.
The fall portion of the season will conclude October 18-20 at the Bearcat Dual Gender tournament at Far Oaks Golf Club in Caseyville, Illinois.
The four fall tournaments will give the Hawks plenty of opportunities to find their rhythm, evaluate their lineup and build confidence before returning to competition in the spring.
With Eades, Miller, Torres, Warren and O'Brien bringing collegiate experience and Denker and Stout continuing to develop, Quincy has several pieces to build around entering the new season.
The 2026-27 campaign presents an opportunity for each golfer to make an impact, whether through consistency across multiple rounds, a breakthrough individual performance or helping the Hawks put together strong team finishes.
As the season gets underway, the Hawks will look to use their experience, continued development and competitive mindset to make the 2026-27 season one to remember.
