Indianapolis, Ind. - The Great Lakes Valley Conference announced its All-Conference teams on Wednesday evening (Apr. 30) at the GLVC Softball Banquet. Securing a Third Team spot was junior short stop
Kenzie Moss after a stellar year at the plate.
Moss led the Hawks in the batter's box, posting a .363 batting average and 53 hits on the season. Her OPS ranked 12th among conference hitters at 1.013 and she finished the season tied 6th in doubles with 15. Her slugging didn't stop there. Moss knocked five out of the park and hit four triples, including two in the second game against Central Missouri.
In the field, Moss had a .921 fielding average with three double plays and 82 putouts. The stats do not show, however, the difficulty of putouts Moss had throughout the season. She excelled in robbing hitters of hits just over the infield and was outstanding in defending between the pitcher and center fielder.
Jessie Martin was recognized as Quincy's James R. Spalding Sportsmanship Award recipient for her character on and off the field.
