Indianapolis, IN – The Quincy University women's lacrosse team faced a tough challenge on Friday, (Apr 25), as they visited the nationally ranked University of Indianapolis Greyhounds, who came into the match up ranked No. 8 in the country. Despite the final score favoring the Greyhounds 26–4, the Hawks continued showing determination and fighting, with several players contributing key moments throughout the game.
Anni Moran opened the scoring for Quincy with a goal assisted by MaryGrace Cummings. Moran added another goal in the second quarter during a man-up possession. In the third quarter, Aurora Jason capitalized on a free-position opportunity. Amelia Ham closed out the scoring for the Hawks with a strong finish later in the third, continuing to lead by example on the offensive end.
The Hawks will now turn their focus to their final match up as they travel to Romeoville, IL to face off against the Lewis University Flyers this Saturday at 12:00 PM. (Apr. 27). For their final game of the season.
