QUINCY, Ill. – The Hawks hosted the Truman State University Bulldogs in Pepsi Arena on senior day on Saturday, February 18
th. In the GLVC contest, the Bulldogs came out with the win by the score of 67-51.
After a low scoring, yet close opening 10 minutes, the Bulldogs were able to find their offense and open up a double digit lead on the Hawks at the halftime break.
Beth Matas Martin led the Hawks with 17 points on 6 of 23 from the field as she was the lone Hawk in double figures. Seniors
Sarah Nelson and
Emma Knipe chipped in 8 and 4 points apiece.
As a team, the Hawks shot 19 of 67 from the field, 4 of 20 from beyond the arc and 9 of 11 from the charity stripe.
QU will hit the road next Thursday with a trip to Bolivar, Missouri to battle the Southwest Baptist University Bearcats at 5:30 p.m.
