Quincy, Ill. - Looking for their first home win, the Hawks took on the Missouri-St. Louis Tritons on Thursday night (Dec. 7). Despite a hot, two-game win streak on the road, the Hawks fell 62-44.
The Hawks struggled to light up the scoreboard at the start, missing three chances and giving up two turnovers before finding the basket. Down by nine, the Hawks chopped at the difference throughout the remaining first quarter, but only found themselves within five at best. Off the bench,
Ashlynn Arnsman led the Hawks in points with five for the first quarter.
The Hawks hustled in the second, posting three jumpers to the net, taking the difference down to two. UMSL regained their footing in the game, and took over the second quarter, leading the Hawks by fifteen points at hafltime.

Cymirah Williams led the Hawks in the third quarter, scoring a combined 11 points, but the Tritons kept pushing their offense. The Hawks finished the game down eighteen.
Cymirah Williams recorded a double-double with sixteen points and eleven rebounds. This was her third of the season, and second in a row.
Ashlynn Arnsman came off the bench, scoring seven.
The Hawks finish their weekend with McKendree on Saturday. The game will start at 1pm.
