QUINCY, Ill. – The women's basketball began a three-game home stand on Thursday, January 12
th hosting the Rockhurst University Hawks. Rockhurst used a big third quarter to come away with the win by the score of 68-60.
Despite
Sarah Nelson and
Beth Matas Martin in double figures for QU, Rockhurst got 17 key points off their bench from Ali Kamies. RU would use a 7 of 15 third quarter to take an eight point going into the final quarter. Quincy would shoot just 4 of 13 from the field in the third frame.
Quincy would force 26 Rockhurst turnovers, but they would only score 19 points off of those turnovers.
QU continues its home stand on Saturday, January 14
th at 1:00 p.m. as the Southwest Baptist University Bearcats come to Pepsi Arena.
