QUINCY, Ill. – In a game that saw 19 lead changes and 12 ties, Quincy University outlasted Rockhurst University on Thursday, January 12
th in Pepsi Arena by the score of 81-73. The win pushes QU's win streak to six, for the first time since the 2016-17 season.
Quincy went 26 of 37 from the charity stripe, including 20 of 28 in the 2
nd half to help seal the deal for the conference win.
Leading the way for the Hawks was
Malik Hardmon who eclipsed the 20-point mark for the third consecutive game with 26 on 6 of 11 from the field and 12 of 17 from the free throw line. QU used its size to their advantage as they won the battle on the offensive glass and had 21 second chance points.
The Hawks will remain home as Southwest Baptist University comes to Pepsi Arena on Saturday, January 14
th for a 3:00 p.m. tip.
