Evansville, Ind.—The Quincy University Tennis teams were on the road at Southern Indiana on Sunday (4/3) afternoon. The men's team lost 7-0 and women's team lost 4-3.
MEN'S RESULTS
In doubles action,
Erik Weiler and
Sebastian Gomez lost their match 6-4. During the 2 doubles match,
Zach Willing and
Nicholas Crockens lost 6-0. In the 3 doubles match,
Brenden Everhart and Pablo Mateos Niela lost 6-2.
In singles action,
Samuele Contestabile lost 7-6 (7-5), 6-4 to Yahor Bahdanovich. Brendan Everhart forced a 3
rd set tiebreaker but came up short 7-6 (7-5), 2-6, 10-6. Pablo Mateos Niela lost in straight sets 6-1, 6-3. In the 4 singles match,
Sebastian Gomez lost 6-3, 6-1 to Spencer Blandford. After winning the 1
st set in his match,
Zach Willing lost to Marvin Kromer 6-4, 5-7, 2-6.
Ivan Mimica fought hard in the 6 singles match against Dylan Brown, but lost 6-4, 6-3.
WOMEN'S RESULTS
In doubles action,
Laila Leist-Alston and
Blanca Salas Cruz lost 7-5 Lauren Rowe and Rachel McCorkle. The 2 doubles match saw
Katrin Ismailova and
Paula Martinez lost 6-1 to Abby Brown and Chloe McIssac.
Steffi Lao and Juliana Videl won the 3 doubles match 7-6 (8-6) over Abby Myers and Kylie Skepnek.
Laila Leist-Alston won the one singles match 6-3, 6-4 over Lauren Rowe. In the 2 singles match,
Blanca Salas Cruz fell to Rachel McCorkle 6-4, 7-6 (7-5).
Katrin Ismailova defeated Abby Brown 7-6 (7-4), 6-1. During the 4 singles match,
Steffi Lao won 6-2, 6-4 over Abby Myers. To round out the match, Juilana Vidal and
Nora Hennesy lost their matches in straight sets.
