ROLLA, MO - The Quincy University men's soccer team defeated Missouri S&T, 2-1, in the team's regular season finale on Friday (April 16). The Hawks now have won three in a row and have won six of its past seven matches. 

After the score was a draw at halftime, Cole Hayes broke the seal in the 53rd minute and executed on his fifth goal of the season as QU took a 1-0 lead. S&T responded with a goal in the 70th minute to threaten late. 

Ten minutes later, Jack Rhead found the back of the net as QU took back the lead. Aubrey Reis assisted Rhead on this game-winning goal as QU won 2-1. 

Four yellow cards were issued during the match, two to each team. The Hawks had five shots on goal compared to three for S&T.

The No.3 seed Hawks will host the No.6 seed Southern Indiana in the opening round of the GLVC Tournament on Monday (April 19) at Legends Stadium at 6:30 p.m.
