QUINCY, Ill. – The Quincy University women's lacrosse team played their first game of the season against Northern Michigan University on Sunday afternoon (Feb. 28). The Hawks dropped the game, 15-7. Bianca Johnson and Reece Nagao each had two goals for QU in the contest.

In the first half, Northern Michigan scored ten goals in the first 30 minutes while Quincy netted three goals. Reece Nagao scored twice while Kara Wilhelm scored the other goal for the Hawks.

The second half was more evenly matched, but the Wildcats ultimately persisted. NMU had six second half scores to Quincy's four. Bianca Johnson scored twice while Danielle Robinson and Heaven-Lee Nichols had the other two goals for Quincy.

The Hawks will be facing Missouri Baptist University on Wednesday (Mar. 3) at QU Stadium for their second game of the season.
