HUNTSVILLE, AL. - The Quincy University women's lacrosse team continued their spring break travels by facing another Alabama opponent on Tuesday afternoon (March 10). The Hawks faced the University of Alabama in Huntsville and lost the non-conference matchup, 22-2.
The Chargers dominated in nearly every category on the stat sheet. Alabama Huntsville outshot the Hawks 36-8 while netting 22 goals.
Out of the eight shots by QU,
Reece Nagao and
Megan Ganniger were able to find the back of the net. Both goals came in the first half as Nagao scored seven minutes in, and Ganniger scored with under six minutes left before halftime.
The Hawks were blanked in the final thirty minutes and were only able to get off two shots.
Next Game
The women's lacrosse team will look to bounce back when they return to QU Stadium this Saturday (March 14) with a non-conference contest against Emmanuel College at 1:00 p.m.
