#4 Washburn 3, Quincy 0
The Hawks fell behind early in the opening set against one of the top teams in the country and were never able to gain momentum. Two QU timeouts weren't enough to thwart the Washburn offense as the Ichabods led 20-4.
Emily Rehagen hammered home two kills and QU took advantage of a few Ichabod attack errors to cut the lead to 22-11. That was as close as the Hawks would get. Washburn pulled away and took the first set 25-13.
The second set started a little differently for the Hawks. Rehagen added two more kills and senior middle
Baylie Stephens knocked down another to put QU up 6-3 early on. Washburn proceeded to go on a 5-0 run to take an 8-6 lead. A
Stephanie Mizeur kill stopped the bleeding momentarily, but the Ichabod offense came alive as Washburn went on to win the second set 25-15.
The third set was played closely between the two teams with five ties and three lead changes. Neither team led by more than two points until Washburn went on a 4-1 run to give themselves an 11-8 advantage.
