PEORIA, Ill. -  The Quincy University women's basketball team began its season with an exhibition against Bradley University.  The Hawks fell to the Braves 91-62 on Saturday (Nov. 3).

The Hawks and Braves traded baskets in the early action of the first quarter. QU led 5-4 before a 7-0 Braves run gave Bradley a 11-5 lead.  

Trailing 22-10 with two minutes to go in the first quarter, QU finished on an 8-2 run to cut the Braves lead to 24-18.  

Bradley began the second quarter on a 16-0 run to grab the advantage.  The Hawks trimmed the lead to 53-37 heading into half time.  

The Braves maintained the lead for the remainder of the game and defeated the Hawks 91-62.  

Alexa Low and Taylor Hickey led the Hawks with 10 points each.  

QU has a second exhibition tomorrow against Illinois State tomorrow (Nov. 4).
