QUINCY, Ill. - The Quincy University men's basketball team picked up its second win of the season with a 76-62 win over the Hannibal-LaGrange Trojans.

Marsalis Johnson's career-high 20 points on 10-11 shooting, the Hawks held off a feisty Trojans team.
Hannibal-LaGrange came out of the gates white hot and jumped out to a 10-2 lead over the Hawks in the first three and a half minutes.
A 7-0 run by the Hawks cut the lead to one with 13:37 remaining in the first half.
The Trojans pushed the lead back to 11 after a layup by Tim Pace with 10:01 to play in the first half.

The Hawks took advantage of the turning momentum and took a 34-28 lead with 1:35 to play in the first half.
With under a minute to play in the first half, the Trojans cut the lead to 34-32.

Demetrius Houston layup gave the Hawks a 36-32 lead and the Hawks had one more opportunity to extend the lead before the half.
Robert DeVries grabbed an offensive rebound and knocked down a 12-foot jumper at the buzzer to give the Hawks a 38-32 lead at the end of the first half.
QU pushed its lead to 12 in the first three minutes of the second half.
The Hawks maintained a comfortable lead through the first ten minutes of the second half.
The Trojans wouldn't go quietly, cutting the lead to seven with 7:20 to play.
DeVries scored the Hawks next seven points, giving the Hawks a 10 point lead with 5:09 remaining.
QU extended its lead to 19 with 2:43 to play.
QU held the lead and defeated the Trojans 76-62.
The Hawks had four players score in double figures, led by Johnson's 20 points.
QU improves to 2-7 on the season and will play Missouri Southern next Saturday (Dec. 16) in the QU Holiday Classic at 3:15 p.m. in Pepsi Arena.
