Hawks Win Five Set Thriller over Prairie Stars

QUINCY, Ill. - The outlook was grim with the Quincy University women's volleyball team trailing 14-11 in the fifth and deciding set against the University of Illinois Springfield. Then, from the Hawks' bench could be heard chatter telling the team that the match is not over yet.

The Hawks (5-5, 1-0 GLVC) scored three straight points with a block by Bekah Raebel and Jessica Licurgo bringing Pepsi Arena to their feet to tie the game. UIS (2-8, 0-1 GLVC) used a timeout with the Hawks one point away from victory. With the fans clapping in anticipation, Raebel and Licurgo finished the match with a block to complete the comeback.
