Beretti, Kasavica, and Pye-Blacknard Collect GLVC All-Conference Awards

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Quincy University women's volleyball was well represented in this year's Great Lakes Valley Conference All-Conference selections, with Susanna Beretti and Elena Kasavica earning spots on the First Team, while Janelle Pye-Blacknard was named to the Second Team. The trio played major roles in leading the Hawks to a 22–5 regular-season record and a nine-match winning streak heading into postseason play.

Beretti continued her rise as the league's most dominant outside hitter, leading the GLVC with 453 kills, 4.82 kills per set, 505.5 points, and 5.38 points per set. She also ranked inside the top ten in the conference with 352 digs, 3.75 digs per set, 35 service aces, and 0.37 aces per set, showcasing her all-around impact. This marks the second consecutive season Beretti has been selected to the GLVC First Team, solidifying herself as the motor of the Hawks' high-powered offense. As QU heads into the postseason, she remains the focal point of the attack and one of the conference's most dangerous scoring threats.

Sophomore setter Kasavica earned First Team honors for the second straight year after another standout season orchestrating the Hawks' offense. She surpassed 1,000 assists for the second year in a row and averaged 11.39 assists per set, ranking second in the GLVC in both categories. Her impact went well beyond setting, as she landed in the conference's top ten with 37 service aces and 0.39 aces per set. Kasavica also anchored the team defensively with 319 digs and added 24 blocks, proving to be one of the most complete setters in the league. With her running the offense, the Hawks always pose a threat to opposing defenses.

Pye-Blacknard, who served as Quincy's libero a season ago, excelled this year in a new role as the squad's secondary attacking option behind Beretti. She delivered 317 kills (3.36 per set), while also contributing 20 service aces, 319 digs, and 27 blocks, finishing the regular season with 354.5 total points. Her transition into an attacking role proved invaluable, giving the Hawks balance and consistency from the pins.

These three All-Conference standouts now turn their attention to postseason play as the Hawks travel to Williamsville, Illinois, to take on Truman State University in the GLVC Tournament Quarterfinal on Thursday at 8:30 PM. With momentum and star power on their side, Quincy looks to continue its push toward a championship.
