QUINCY, Ill. - Quincy University softball head coach Carla Passini has announced her coaching addition for the upcoming 2018 season.  Passini announced the hiring of Sara Emerich.

Emerich assumes the role as assistant coach and academic coordinator.  Emerich will handle all aspects of pitching as well as handing all academic efforts.  

Emerich comes to Quincy after spending four season at Manchester University in North Manchester, IN.  While at Manchester she served as assistant coach, recruiting coordinator, academic and travel coordinator, as well as Senior Women's Administrator.  

During her tenure, Manchester won 60 games, had 12 players named All-HCAC and one Freshman of the Year.

As a player Emerich was an Academic All American while pitching at West Liberty University.

Passini said of Emerich's hiring, "I'm very excited to have Sara join our QU coaching staff.  She brings great experience in both the pitching and recruiting.  Im also very excited for her to handle the academic side of the QU softball program and help develop a true student athlete."
