Hawks Fall to Top-Seeded Greyhounds in GLVC Tournament

ROMEOVILLE, Ill. - The Quincy University men's tennis team fell to nationally ranked No. 21 University of Indianapolis in the first round of the Great Lakes Valley Conference Championship Tournament 5-0 on Friday, Apr. 29. The GLVC Tournament was hosted Lewis University and QU played their match against UIndy at Plainfield East High School. The Hawks have made two consecutive trips to the GLVC Tournament and have fallen to the Greyhounds in the first round both seasons.

The Greyhounds (15-2) locked up the third and first doubles 8-0 in that order.

Michael Lesko and Wyatt Pauley tested the number two doubles team from UIndy. The pair of Hawks (6-12) fell just short of an upset with an 8-5 loss.

Magnus Mueller and Luke Hubert locked up the match, 5-0, for the Greyhounds with a pair of singles wins. Mueller won number four singles 6-0, 6-0. Hubert earned a 6-1, 6-1 number three singles win.
