Lady Hawk's Creating Memories Game Saturday

QUINCY, Ill. - The Quincy University women's basketball team will be holding their "Creating Memories" game this Saturday (Feb. 14) against Saint Joseph's College at 1 p.m.

The Lady Hawks Creating Memories Foundation donates money raised throughout the season to a patient battling cancer at the Blessing Cancer Center.  In working with the Blessing Cancer staff and the Blessing Foundation, the Lady Hawks are able to use the money for local families to help assist in their battles against cancer.  The patient uses the money donated to "create a special memory" for themselves and their family.  During Saturday's game, you can pledge any amount of money for every three-point field goal scored by the Lady Hawks.  This money will also be donated to the Lady Hawks Creating Memories Foundation.

This Saturday the Lady Hawks will be presenting the 10th recipient of the Creating Memories Foundation with a check before the game.  This year Nikki Neese and her family will be "creating memories" with the money donated by the Lady Hawks.  The Lady Hawks will also be selling t-shirts to raise money for the Lady Hawks Creating Memories Foundation.

Nikki Neese is a mother of three daughters: Melia (6 years), Zoe (3 years), and Isabella (1 year).  Nikki and her husband Jason have been married for 10 years.  Nikki and Jason will be taking a weekend getaway to celebrate Valentine's Day together.  Nikki and Jason will also be taking their three daughters to Scottie's Fun Spot for an afternoon of fun and smiles.

As the Lady Hawks continue their season, they wish the best for past, present, and future recipients in their battles with cancer.
